This week, I found myself contemplating related diversification and how Golde has been able to implement that. What I’ve found is that Golde has expanded beyond its original turmeric products in a number of ways. They now offer matcha, hojicha, creamer, wellness tools, and most recently a cookbook. These newer products remain connected to the brand’s core identity of prioritizing wellness and as a result can still be offered to the same customer base. This creates opportunities for economies of scope because Golde has the potential to leverage its existing brand, customer relationships, marketing, and distribution instead of recreating these things each time they launch product.

I now wonder what else they have planned as they continue their (mostly) beverage related offerings. A part of their identity lies in being a wellness cafe brand, and I’m curious how they anticipate staying on that path.
